Personally, I enjoy the days spent with salty skin and the soothing soundtrack of the sea. So, I tend to gravitate towards coastal villages whenever possible. While there are many popular things to do in Lanzarote, the island also offers a lot of lesser-known gems waiting to be discovered.
Below, I’ll share my selection of the best beaches on Lanzarote, encompassing wild stretches, urban beaches, quaint coves, and more. Additionally, I’ll provide insights into each beach’s characteristics, recommended activities, and precise locations.

If you’re exploring Playa Blanca’s attractions or staying in the town, note that Papagayo Beach is only 2.5 miles away, making it a convenient stop. However, keep in mind there’s a €3 entrance fee per vehicle when entering the protected area of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument. Also, you have to traverse a stretch of unpaved road.

Accessing Playa Flamingo is convenient, whether on foot from the town center or by car, with ample parking nearby. Additionally, several bus lines connect the beach to major towns on the island, such as line 159, which starts in Arrecife and passes through Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise.
